We had a great stay at Glenn House. The house is very close to Lake Michigan and is surrounded by forest with deer. It is a quick 20 min drive to Saugatuck. The house had everything we needed to make dinner and breakfast.

Beautiful property.  The trees were in peak Autumn color.  Our two trips to the beach were almost all to ourselves.  Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children.  We made beautiful family memories at Glenn House.

Wowza. This place is perfect for a large group. All 10 of us slept comfortably and the large kitchen made it easy to cook and enjoy each other’s company. We enjoyed mornings and evenings in the screened-in porch. The private beach is walking distance and SO BEAUTIFUL…clean sand, crisp water, and lots of families set up for a beach day. It was also very easy to check-out, which can be cumbersome in a large home. Thank you so much- we’ll think of this place again is we’re back in the area.

The Big Blue Haven was wonderful for our group! We had 8 adults and 7 kids with us and everyone was very comfortable. Plenty of space and the yard was a huge plus for the kids. Walkable to the beach and nearby shopping. Had a great time!

Overall, we loved the home and had a wonderful time.  My only critique is we were unable to control the temperature inside.  Most of the time it was cold and then hot in the middle of the night.  The only thermostat we found didn't seem to control it.  But everything else was great!

We really enjoyed our time at the container.  I felt secluded there and we loved spending time on the deck.  Super close to loads of activities for any taste.  Great selection of restaurants and hiking spots.   I would love to visit again, perhaps before the weather starts to cool down and we can enjoy more of the beach scene.

We greatly enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and spacious. The screened in porch was our favorite place! The kitchen had all the supplies we needed and our family of seven adults fit perfectly at the dining table. The beach was wonderful and within walking distance. The location of the house was perfect and close to both Grand Haven and Saugatuck. Owners were responsive and we would recommend!

My 1st interest was 'the experience' of staying in 2 converted shipping containers. I had read about similar conversions, but never seen one. The true 'hidden gem' is the large nature area behind the property.  Pictures had shown some dense trees, but didn't show that the property to the west was a linear greenspace/nature area ( maps indicate the greenspace follows a stream). The flight of a large barred owl resting in the trees near the container made for a delightful accent!!

Our stay was perfect for our group--grandparents, two couples, and a 2.5-year-old. There was plenty of room, and we loved the large screened-in deck, the small garage converted to a game room, sunsets at the end of the street, and the easy walk to the private neighborhood beach (the steep hill wasn't a challenge). We even enjoyed the neighborhood tennis/pickleball court (with paddles and balls provided), short runs, and toddler-friendly walks and balance-bike rides with very few cars. The house is an easy distance to South Haven, Saugatuck and State Parks for hikes, shopping and ice cream cones, paddle boat rental for a day, and peach picking at a local farm. A great visit for our group. The hosts were very helpful. Thank you.

We visited Michigan on a house hunting expedition and our realtor suggested we stay in Coloma, as it was centrally located to where we were looking to buy. Absolutely beautiful house and neighborhood! Right across the street from the lake and we were able to take long walks everywhere. We even walked down the street to a local joint called the Bend (I highly suggest Burger Wednesdays). There was a slight miscommunication about the available amenities, but it was clearly up almost immediately and to our satisfaction. In fact, it was such a nice stay that we considered buying a house in the area, about 3 minutes away. Overall a great stay at a wonderful place.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were cozy, and the outdoor space was perfect for our group. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with, which made check-in and check-out a breeze. Beautiful home and property with exquisite private beach. Perfect for our family getaway (6 adults & 3 kids). Everyone was super comfortable!

This place itself was awesome. The container was very cool and I loved how the backyard/deck faced the woods, made you feel like you were in the middle of the forest up north. The decoration is fantastic and the sheets smell so good :) The area/neighborhood is a different story. The area had a lot of boarded up or burnt out buildings. The land across the street is vacant, the house is gone but an basement foundation remains along with burned up car(s). Google Maps still shows a house there. It just did not feel like a safe area. We ended up going into Stevensville to do our shopping because it felt like a safer area. I absolutely love the concept and would definitely rent again, if it were in a nicer area. I'm really kind of bummed about it.

This was our first “family” vacation with our grown children and grandchild, and everything far exceeded our expectations. Tom and Elizabeth’s beautiful home was clean, spacious, tucked away on a wooded lot with the only noise being the sound of the waves on the lake below. Days started and ended all of us together on the screened-in deck for coffee or cocktails, and the highlight for our grandson was the “awesome” game room!  We can’t thank our hosts enough, and we’re already planning our next, longer stay

Home was perfect for our extended family getaway. Every bedroom had it's own bathroom which was perfect for our big family. Very close walk to beautiful private beach. Tom was very responsive to all of my questions!

We came to South Haven for a wedding and we stayed at this location. It worked out very well for a family of 11! There were 6 kids and 5 adults,  it accommodated us well. We loved the private beach and the patio. One of the children ended up leaving there phone by accident and the host was responsive with letting us know.

Tom's place is in a safe neighborhood and is easily walkable to the downtown area. It had everything we were looking for during our visit.

We really enjoyed the home, fire pit and back yard space. This was perfect for our family reunion.

We had a great time at The Container! We spent time cooking in the kitchen, working at the counter, and relaxing on the deck out back. The property felt very private and comfortable and we loved how the interior was decorated! Just a short drive to grocery stores and to neighboring city + beach in St. Joseph. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Lots of positive comments. We had a wonderful timel. Very nice and convenient location w lots of parking options. 6 minute walk to downtown. Beach just far enough away that we did drops and pick-ups which worked well considering parking was limited. Great for a large group. Private outdoor area w activities for all ages. Nice indoor open-concept layout w dual lounging areas  for keeping all parties content. Suggestions: The kitchen could be better provisioned and the shrub beds and flower pots could use some attention.

The Container was a one of a kind stay! We enjoyed our stay. We made use of the kitchen and grill for every meal. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and within driving range of the tourist places.

Wonderful home and private beach.  The private beach made the trip.  We've been coming to the Saugatuck area for 25 years and if you told me we wouldn't go to Oval Beach once I wouldn't believe it.  Loved the proximity to South Haven as well.  Nice to stay in such a private area but have the convenience of a bigger town close by.

We had a wonderful time here. It’s such a sweet spot. Tucked away in the woods but walking distance to the lake. It is super cozy and feels like “home”. We saw deer, bunnies, chipmunks, groundhogs and squirrels wondering around. I definitely recommend this place!!

Pat’s Pool House does have a beautiful pool. There are 10 of us in our family and everyone had plenty of space. We were there during a very hot week and the air conditioners did an extremely good job. This is a little picky but all of the beds upstairs are either singles or doubles. I personally would like to have a couple queen beds installed. The place was described well.

Besides this area of Benton Harbor being run down, Tom's place was very nice and we enjoyed staying there. As other's have commented, there are no curtains or shades on the back windows and doors which is nice during the day, but creepy at night. I thought this would be resolved since there have been so many comments about it, but it has not.

This cute little lakeside cottage is the perfect place for families with younger kiddos, with all the basic amenities. The neighborhood is safe and quiet.

Great place to stay! Most definitely a place I would stay at again. While I agree with other reviews that the neighborhood isn’t exactly walk your dog friendly, I never felt unsafe. The container is everything it appears to be in the listing and all of the space is used very well! A curtain on the back doors would be ideal, but with backing up to the woods not a huge deal. Bring bug spray if you’re coming in the summer and plan to hangout on the back deck. Lots to do in St. Joseph and surrounding towns and the container was a great place to come back to after a long day out.
